Ancient Cult This band NEVER disappoints. Pure pagan Black Metal, with tremendous riffs, great melodies and an enshrouding atmosphere. TOP of the year. Favorite track: Tähti-Yö Ja Hevoiset.

Marc Alexander Goodwin I have owned this album for a few days now, and listened to it on repeat. I have no idea what it's about nor what these guys are saying, but my God do I feel hopeful and awesome. Outstanding work, I can't wait for the next one. Favorite track: Uinuos Syömein Sota.

Urizen This more expansive and atmospheric sound pairs well with Havukruunu's dark and pagan themes, which reminds one of a dynamic sort of black metal such as Emperor and the like. The chanting vocals are both explosive and meditative, filled with a simmering fury, bringing together some very holistic music with the shimmering, gleaning riffs like the twang and hum of swords, supported by the cannonades of some very good drumming (which I suppose have been improved since the early years). Favorite track: Kuin Öinen Meri.
